Mark A. Campbell has been representing his clients before juries, judges, and arbitrators for forty two years. Mr. Campbell’s career began in Southern California, where he rapidly gained jury trial experience as a member of the criminal de­fense firm of Varner and Fraser.

In 1982 he joined Bolton, Dunn, and Moore, an AV rated litigation defense firm located in downtown Los Angeles where his practice areas included professional liability, complex multi-party mass tort, construction defect, and personal injury litigation.

In 1984, Mr. Campbell moved to Sacramento to join the litigation firm of Bolling, Walter & Gawthrop, advancing to shareholder in 1988. While with that firm, Mr. Campbell primarily engaged in the defense of lawyers, real estate agents and brokers, insurance agents and brokers, health care providers and insurance companies.

In 1991, Mark Campbell left Bolling, Walter & Gawthrop to pursue a solo practice emphasizing litigation of real estate, business, professional liability, and liability insurance disputes. From 1993 to 1997, he continued in the same areas of practice but in partnership with a tax attorney and an appellate lawyer. He then returned to his own “AV” rated general civil practice litigating real estate, business, professional liability, intellectual property, probate, trust, personal injury and insurance disputes. During that period, he served as House Counsel for Idiom, Inc., a software company, gaining experience with software development, licensing, and related intellectual property issues. He began practicing law with George Murphy, Doug Alliston, and Stephanie Quinn in 2001, and was one of the founders of Murphy, Campbell, Alliston & Quinn.

Mr. Campbell is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Litigation, Real Estate and Intellectual Property sections of the State Bar of California.
