Mr. McCarthy represents public and private clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including premises liability, real property, personal injury, public entity, and railroad-related disputes. Prior to joining Quinn Covarrubias, Mr. McCarthy developed experience on matters including land use, environmental, and construction litigation, commercial real estate disputes, and other real property-related matters. Mr. McCarthy has experience appearing before administrative agencies, superior courts, and courts of appeal. He is the Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association. In 2023, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in the area of Construction Litigation.
Mr. McCarthy is a 2015 graduate of the Golden Gate University School of Law where he earned a specialization certificate in environmental law and served as a staff writer and associate editor for the Golden Gate University Law Review. Mr. McCarthy received his undergraduate degree in Global Studies and Maritime Affairs from the California Maritime Academy.
